If you are looking to open a new business in and exiting tenant space, develop a piece of property or construct a new building Meridian’s Community Development Staff is here to assist you. Throughout this process you will find yourself working not only with Meridian City Staff, but also community partner the Ada County Highway District (ACHD).

The City of Meridian Planning department will help you to determine if your commercial use is inline with the City’s Zoning Ordinance. The City’s Building Services Division will work with you to ensure that the appropriate life-safety regulations are followed and certify occupancy when all applicable reequipments are met.  ACHD will work with you to assess your uses impact on roads and transportation.

The City of Meridian manages utility billing for commercial properties. Utility bills include trash, recycling, cart services, water, and sewer. For convenience, you can register for city services through the City online. Service can be setup with the City of Meridian's Utility Department within 1 to 3 business days of move in.

The City of Meridian works with Ada County and Title Companies to automatically move utility service from the prior owner to the new owner.
